Ventilation and air conditioning design analysis for battery rooms in data centers

 Analyses the phenomena of hydrogen evolution and heat dissipation during the storage battery operation in data centers. By calculating the hydrogen generation rate of the storage battery and comparing it with the hydrogen explosion limit of the confined space, proposes the idea of making usual design ventilation rate 0.5 to 1.0 times per hour. Based on the comparison of heat dissipation rates during the charging and discharging reaction process of the single storage battery, proposes to calculate the cooling load according to the heat dissipation of equalizing charge in summer and the heating load according to the heat dissipation of floating charge in winter. Combined with the application scenarios of data center storage batteries, gives some suggestions of HVAC design for storage battery rooms.
